Leath picks up Nebraska offer

The Nebraska recruiting class is coming together nicely, but there is definitely a need by the Nebraska staff to extend some more offers. One of the positions where Nebraska needs to offer more players is offensive line. This Florida offensive lineman picked up an offer from Nebraska last week. Can the Huskers enter the mix and host him this fall for an official visit?

Bobby Leath, a three-star offensive guard from Lake Wales (Flor.) says that the summer has been good for him. He's been working hard and he has had some opportunities to get out and visit some schools.

"The summer has been real good,"Leath said. "I have gotten out and had a chance to see some other places. I went to Oklahoma, Kansas State and Missouri this summer.

"Besides getting out for visits I have been working on my strength and footwork since I added some more weight. I have been working on 40-yard sprints and doing rope drills. I have also been working on my grades."

Leath doesn't know how many offers he has but if you ask him for the quantity he will just say 'a lot'. And it is. Leath estimates that the total is getting close to 30 offers.

"I am really not sure how many I have. I think that I have 28 or so. The latest schools to offer were Oklahoma and Nebraska. I have been thinking about my visits and would probably just drive to see the Florida schools.

"I will probably ttake an official visit to Nebraska, Iowa State and Kansas State. I know that I have been to Kansas State before, but it was for camp. I didn't get a chance to really look around."

You might wonder why a player like Leath is looking so much at schools outside the state and there is a reason. Leath says that his college decision will come down to fit and also he would like to leave the state.

"I am really looking for the best fit. I want to major in business management or admnistration so that is big in my decision. Distance doesn't matter to me. I would really prefer to leave the state."
