Moore cleared to play

Alonzo Moore has been cleared to play by the NCAA.

It turns out Nebraska head coach Bo Pelini was right, incoming freshman Alonzo Moore was just day-to-day.

The Huskers got good news on Wednesday, as the three-star prospect was cleared to begin practicing. The NCAA was reviewing academic paperwork that was resubmitted by Moore's school.

"It feels great," said Moore in a text to Big Red Report.

Moore had offers from Arkansas, Louisiana Tech, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Texas A&M, among others.

The 2012 prospect was a standout on the offensive side of the football at Winnfield high school in Louisiana, but will start his career as a defensive back.
