"Fall camp started for us this week," Hinnant said. "It feels good to get back out there on the field. It's a lot of hard work in fall camp, but its fun to get out there with the team again and get ready for the season."
This past summer Hinnant spent a lot of his time in the weight room preparing for his senior year. He concentrated on the Olympic lifts that really help out with explosion as well as working on his footwork.
"I worked on my explosion off of the ball. I worked on my power cleans and snatches. It was really the hip motion and the pop movements like you do to get the initial hit on the defender. I was also working on my feet this summer and trying to become a better athlete overall."
Hinnant says that he does have a list of favorites, but that is just a current list. He hasn't trimmed his list or eliminated anyone. There is definitely a chance that his list could change.
There really wasn't one quality that was the same for the four schools that Hinnant is favoring right now. In fact, he said all of the schools were unique in their own way.
"All of the qualities of the schools are different. With Cal you get a great education and I have a great relationship with the coaches. I love the area and the campus is nice.
"With Oregon I have a pretty good relationship with their staff. The offense that they run is a little more complex than what we run, but I think that I could transition into it.
"At Nebraska they are known to produce lineman and have produced a lot over the years. I hear that the area is great and the people are great. I have a pretty good relationship with their coaches as well."
The Huskers are set to host Hinnant for arguably the biggest home game on their schedule. He says that he's excited to see what a sell out crowd looks like on game day in Lincoln.
"I have just the one official visit set up right now and it's to Nebraska on September 29th. That is for the Wisconsin game. That is going to be an awesome game. I can't wait to get up there.
"Nebraska has definitely given some great examples of how they develop lineman. Their offense is a power offense which translates well into the pros. They have the record for consecutive sell outs. That's awesome."
