Quick Hitter: Miller an All-American

The senior long snapper was selected to play in the Semper-Fi All-American game on Monday.

Nebraska long snapper commitment Gabriel Miller is an All-American. The nation's No. 2 long snapper according to Chris Rubio has been selected to play in the Semper-Fi All-American game. The game featured Nebraska signees Jordan Westerkamp, Avery Moss, Greg McMullin, Jared Afalava, and Paul Thurston (didn't play – injured last year.

"The first thing that went through my head was that all the hard work continues to pay off," said Miller in a message to Big Red Report. "Being invited is definitely a great way to end the recruiting process. I think that I have proven many times that I am one of the best long snappers in the country. This is a great honor to represent my family, Penn high school, Nebraska, and Rubio Long Snapping."

The 6-foot, 235 pound prospect picked Nebraska over an offer from Eastern Michigan very early in the recruiting process. It's likely he would have had more BCS offers if he had let his recruiting play out.
