Checking out Nebraska

Last week brought you the scoop that Glassboro (N.J.) running back and Pitt commitment Corey Clement would be taking some visits. Last week it seemed that Pitt, Notre Dame and Wisconsin were the three schools that Clement was going to check out. The Huskers have added their name to that list and will host Clement this weekend.

Corey Clement is the No. 27 rated running back in the nation and is a three-star prospect according to the rankings. Clement has also been committed to Pittsburgh since June, but recently information has started to come out that he will take some visits.

"I am going to take trips to Notre Dame, Pitt, Wisconsin and I will go to Nebraska this weekend," Clement told "I leave for Lincoln this Friday morning."

Clement has some idea about what to expect when he gets to Nebraska because he has spoken with one of the finest running backs to come out of Nebraska. Mike Rozier, originally from Camden (N.J.), won the Heisman Trophy in 1983 and is friends with Clement's trainer.

"Nebraska is a great school for football, I really fit in well with their running back style because I am a power runner and they also have great academics. They have great tradition of running backs.

"I got a chance to meet Mike Rozier. He lives about 25 miles away from me is all and is friends with my trainer. They are good friends."

Clement said that Glassboro (N.J.) had a scrimmage today and he was limited in the action that he saw. Clement did mention that he scored once and is looking forward to his first game which is next week.
