Stanton suffers knee injury

The reports are coming out that Nebraska commitment and Elite 11 quarterback finalist, Johnny Stanton, has suffered a serious knee injury.

According to Santa Margarita high school, Nebraska four-star quarterback commitmentJohnny Stanton has suffered an ACL injury and will have surgery soon.

According to, Stanton suffered the knee injury in the first quarter of last night's game, but finished the contest. It's also said that Stanton didn't show an ounce of pain with the injury. Stanton declined an interview and his family is seeking privacy at this time.

Stanton has completed 59-of-88 passes for 949 yards with 11 touchdowns this season while rushing for 386 yards on 47 carries. Two weeks ago, he became the school's all-time offensive yards leader, passing former USC standout and NFL star Carson Palmer.
