Atlantic Region Quick Hitters

News and Notes on prospects from around the Atlantic Region.

Manchester High (Midlothian, Va.) star and Virginia Tech commit Holland Fisher remains committed to the Hokies, but will take an official visit to Alabama this weekend. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound Fisher will likely also take an official visit to Ohio State.

Four-star South View High (Fayetteville, N.C.) defensive lineman Greg Gilmore enjoyed his official visit to Florida last weekend. The Gators have been gaining ground on LSU for a while and I think he could end up committing to either school. LSU will host Gilmore on November 3 when they play Alabama. He is expected to make his decision shortly thereafter.

Lucas Wilson appears to be entering the homestretch of his recruitment. Wilson is down to three schools Air Force, South Florida, and Tennessee. The Mount Tabor High (Winston Salem, N.C.) tight end could make his decision in the near future.

Hillside High (Durham, N.C.) tight end Jaiven Knight recently picked up an offer from Navy. The 6-3, 226-pound Knight is up to 13 scholarship offers.

Coastal Carolina is the latest school to offer Booker T. Washington High (Norfolk, Va.) safety Rodney Johnson. It is the sixth offer for Johnson, who also holds offers from Furman, Hampton, Old Dominion, Richmond, and West Virginia.

Osbourn Park High (Manassas, Va.) wide receiver Damian Nicholson has offers from East Carolina, Liberty, UNC-Charlotte, and West Virginia. East Carolina is still his leader and he could make his decision in the next few weeks.

2016 North Stanly High (New London, N.C.) running back Antonio Williams is one of the top freshmen in North Carolina. Williams, who already has an offer from North Carolina, will be hitting the road to check out some schools over the next few months. Right now, he will visit South Carolina on October 6, Clemson on October 20, and N.C. State at some point. In his first six games of his high school career, Williams has rushed for close to 1,100 yards and 11 touchdowns. Last week alone, he had 301 yards and three touchdowns.
