Lacy checks out Nebraska

Kenny Lacy really disappointed some Nebraska fans when he pulled the trigger on a commitment to UCLA. The Nebraska staff still got the highly touted offensive lineman to officially visit Lincoln weeks after his commitment. What are his thoughts about Nebraska and where does he stand?

Kenny Lacy from Phoenix (Ariz.) Mountain Pointe committed to UCLA just a couple of weeks ago and was in Lincoln this weekend for an official visit to Nebraska. Lacy came away impressed with the game day atmosphere in Lincoln.

"It was cool and amazing," Lacy said. "The fans all knew who I was and the rest of the recruits. The fans were all yelling at us to come to Nebraska. The tunnel walk was very nice. It was cool to see that."

Lacy was keeping a close eye on what Nebraska was doing offensively. The Huskers were giving Wisconsin a lot of different looks on offense and Lacy was catching them all.

"Nebraska didn't run a lot of the real option with a pitch man. They were pass heavy last night and I liked seeing that. I think I could see myself playing in their offense."

The overwhelming opinion of all of the recruits today has been that the crowd and the fans were very loud last night. "It was crazy," Lacy said. "When the defense was coming on the field the crowd was nuts. I don't know how the Wisconsin offense communicated at all."

As stated before Lacy committed to UCLA right after they beat the Huskers in Los Angeles a couple of weeks ago. So after having seen Nebraska has anything changed?

"I enjoyed the visit to Nebraska a lot. I can't really put a number on what I would rate the visit. I got a chance to hang out with Avery Moss while I was there. I am still considering Nebraska and still consider myself a commitment to UCLA."
