UCLA OL commit checks out Nebraska

Phoenix (Ariz.) Mountain Pointe offensive lineman Kenny Lacy took an official visit to Nebraska over the weekend and had a chance to see first hand why many feel the game atmosphere at Memorial Stadium is second to none.

Kenny Lacy took his first official visit to UCLA three weeks ago and committed to the Bruins while on campus. The big lineman said he still wanted to take his official visits and checked out Nebraska over the weekend.

"I had a great visit," Lacy said. "The pre-game atmosphere on the sidelines, the crowd in the second half and seeing the facilities were the things that really stood out most for me. The pre-game was great. When me and Christian (Morris) walked out of the tunnel, the fans were going crazy. It was cool watching the linemen warming up and they have a great crowd for sure.

"They started off slow but in the second half, they got rolling and it was the loudest I've ever heard any stadium, ever. That crowd was crazy in the second half and it was a really fun game atmosphere to be at. The city was cool, the people were great and overall, I think Nebraska is definitely a place where I could fit in at well."

So the obvious question is, how strong is Lacy's commitment to UCLA after the visit?

"I'm a Bruin man, I'm solid," Lacy said. "Nebraska was great, it's a great school but I'm a Bruin. I'll be going to UCLA unless something drastic changes and I can't even think of what that would be. I loved it at UCLA and there's a reason why I committed there."
