Knevel gives Nebraska a "9"

There were a number of official visitors that were offensive line prospects in town for Nebraska this weekend. None were larger than David Knevel. Knevel, 6-foot-8 and 295-pounds, came away impressed with Nebraska and the game environment. What else did he think about the visit to Nebraska?

David Knevel from Brantford (Ont.) Pauline Johnson Collegiate and Vocational School was in Lincoln this weekend for an official visit. The 6-foot-8 and 295-pound offensive tackle came away impressed with Nebraska.

"It was a great environment," Knevel said. "Everything was great. I really liked the people. I liked the staff, the players and the fans."

Knevel said that he watched the offensive line closely and liked what he saw. It reminded him of offenses that he has played in before and he thinks that he can transition right in.

"Yes I believe I do feel like I could fit right in at Nebraska on their line. I have played well in offenses like Nebraska's in the past. I enjoy those types of offenses."

Knevel said that he came close to committing to Nebraska and gives the Nebraska visit a very high grade. He plans on taking his other visits before deciding.

"I would give the visit to Nebraska about a "9". I thought about committing, but I want to take the other official visits I set up. I am going to Purdue next weekend and Toledo. I am also visiting Wisconsin and Washington State."

Knevel will graduate in December and will enroll in a DI school in January.
