Sony Michel (Plantation, Fla./American Heritage) is a special talent and has been since his splash arrival as an 8th grader at American Heritage, where he rushed for over 1,800 yards and 18 touchdowns at the varsity level. That opened up everyone's eyes in south Florida and the Michel anticipation built up bigger and bigger each year since.

Unfortunately for Michel he tore his ACL last season but as you can see from the highlights below from the early part of this year that he looks quite healthy indeed.

Michel, now 5-foot-11 and 195-pounds, is the complete package. He has game breaking speed and is electric in the open field. Michel can run with power and has an unbelievable stiff arm. In fact, his strength will surprise you but it shouldn't. This kid has been working hard off-field for quite some time.

Michel has excellent vision and balance. His quickness is off the charts. He has some of the quickest feet you will ever see. Michel can start and stop on a dime and he can be at top end speed in the blink of an eye. This is a back that can run between the tackles and is lethal on the perimeter.

Michel can run north-south but also dazzle a defense with his lateral movement. He is also an excellent receiver out of the backfield.

As a freshman Michel rushed for 1,730 and 21 touchdowns before getting injured last year. He's currently a five-star prospect and the nation's No. 2 ranked running back.

The Hurricanes could prove tough to beat but Michel has recently said his top three (no order) are Miami, FSU and Georgia. He has been to games in Tallahassee and Athens over the past two weeks.

Below are some of Michel's early season junior highlights.
