?"Yeah, I was in Lincoln on Saturday," Thurman said. "I went up for the football game. On Saturday I got there and was given a tour of the facilities, got something to eat and then watched the game. It was a good visit."
The visit to Lincoln for Thurman was an unofficial visit so that limits what he can actually do somewhat in comparison to an official visit. He did was he could do and saw what he could see and came away impressed.
"It wasn't an official (visit). They showed me some of the new things that are going on in Lincoln, showed me the new offices and just around the school. I didn't get to see the new arena that is under construction, but I saw the practice facility."
The Huskers have not offered Thurman, but he says that the attention from Nebraska has really started to ramp up. Thurman is getting some pretty good attention from around the country and says that he is holding one offer already.
"I like them (Nebraska). I know some of their players, I have either played with them or against them, and they are up and coming. I think in three to four years they will be better than Creighton. They are getting better.
?"The interest from Nebraska has just started up. I used to get a call every now and then and it really started to be more last month. It's been pretty busy lately. I have an offer from Utah State and am getting interest from Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oregon, Creighton and South Dakota State."
Omaha Central has a formidable front court between Thurman and Akoy Agau. Agau really plays more of the center while Thurman is a forward, but can play with his back to the hoop and doesn't mind playing some center.
"I think that I can see over defenses well with my height. I can shoot the three, I can drive and I can work in the paint. I really need to work on my dribbling."
Thurman said that there weren't any other immediate plans to get back to Lincoln, but he said that he wouldn't mind getting back for another visit to see another game and check out the progress on the arena.
