"The season is going pretty well," Cochran said. "We are 5-2 and going into the third game of five in conference play. We are 2-0 in conference right now. We are the only undefeated team in the conference.
"I am feeling pretty good about things. The two losses that we do have were to pretty good teams. We are just looking forward to finishing up the league and getting into playoffs.
Cochran hasn't taken any trips yet, but that will change soon. He has two set up with the first coming in two weeks. He will take another one two weeks after that.
"I don't get a lot of opportunities like these to places that are far away. I just want to go and check those schools out on my official visits."
While Cochran hasn't been on any official visits he has taken a number of unofficial visits to the same school. He has been to Cal a number of times to see his brother who is on the team.
"My brother is at California and I go there about every other weekend. I think that I have been to three or four games already. I think that I will take an official visit there, but I am not sure at this point since I go there so often."
On his trips Cochran says that he's trying to get a feel for the school and wants to take a closer look at a few key things. His faith is big to his decision and it's key for him to find a good church near campus.
"For me, I am looking at my major, a program that will help me graduate, relating to my coaches, how the team is together and finding a church near campus.
"My father is a pastor for a Baptist church and I am the president of the FCA chapter at my school."
