Huskers on top for Kemp

The official visitors for Wisconsin game weekend in Lincoln saw a great game and all had a great time. One of the players that was committed to another school and took a trip to Nebraska that weekend was Deland (Flor.) running back JoJo Kemp. Kemp, a South Florida commitment, actually says that there is a team on top now for his services.

JoJo Kemp from Deland (Flor.) is looking forward to this week. The 5-foot-10 and 190-pound running back has a game on national television and he will be able to show off his skills and abilities to the whole world.

"The season is going good," Kemp said. "We have a big game this week. We are 4-3 right now and are undefeated in our conference. Tell everyone to tune in on Thursday night. We play on ESPN.

"I am having a good season. I think that I have 898 yards rushing with 16 touchdowns. I am averaging six or seven yards per carry."

Kemp, a South Florida commitment, took a trip to Nebraska at the end of September. He hasn't taken a trip since, but he will take another trip this weekend to check out a Big 12 school.

"I haven't taken any other trips to any schools since Nebraska. I am going to West Virginia this weekend when they play Kansas. I don't have any other visits set up after this weekend."

Nebraska was on a bye last week, and was preparing for a game this week against Northwestern, but took some time to get out and check out some of their top remaining recruits on their board. Kemp was one of the players that saw a Nebraska coach at his school.

"Nebraska came to my school last week. Coach Ron Brown, the running backs coach at Nebraska, was there for my practice on Thursday.

"Nebraska is letting me know they like me and that they really want me. Nebraska is at the top. I can see myself there. I really like Nebraska."
