One of the higher-rated 2013 prospects on the board for Missouri is DT Josh Augusta 6'4" 289 4.7 Peoria (IL), who continues to have the Tigers on the top of his list of prospective schools. Augusta spoke with ShowMeMizzou.com about his official visit plans, and he updated us on the status of his recruitment.
Earlier, Augusta had told me that he wanted to visit Missouri for the Kentucky game, but it doesn't look like he'll be able to make it.
Augusta appears to be entering the stretch run in his recruitment. He plans to begin taking official visits. He's going to visit his top four schools in reverse order, with Oklahoma as his first visit, and Missouri as his final visit. He'll also visit Illinois and Michigan State.
"Since Missouri is my number one, I'm going to start with number four, and work my way up to Missouri," explained Augusta, who now seems to be more focused on his recruitment. "I'm going to take my official visits, and then I'm going to decide after I take them."
Augusta suggested that he will take his official visit to Missouri in late November or early December. He indicated that he will not make a commitment prior to his Missouri visit.
ShowMeMizzou.com will have more on Josh Augusta later.
