"It was awesome," Natter said. "It was great for Nebraska to go out there and get the "W" against Michigan last night. It was great to have the opportunity to talk to recruits and get a chance to talk to the players."
The defense really cranked up the intensity last night, playing for a Big Ten championship game spot potentially, and Natter noticed. Natter said that he had a talk with one of the more emotional players on the defense.
"Definitely watched the defense last night. I had a chance to talk with Eric Martin a lot last night. It was great to see those guys go out there, get excited and just go crazy on the football field.
"I talked a lot with Coach Rick Kaczynski this morning and we had a chance to watch some film. It's going to be fun to play in that defense. I have an opportunity to come in and make a difference. I can't wait."
Natter kids around that he could give the tour to other recruits he's been to Nebraska so many times. He says that when you visit you always want to achieve something or see something. He wanted to see a couple more things from a player's perspective.
"That was my seventh trip to Nebraska. Every time you get there you want to accomplish something. I wanted to see how things were the night before with the players, see their routine and just hang out. This was a laid back weekend."
Natter has been very active when it comes to recruiting other players to Lincoln. He will even recruit players that potentially could come in and compete with him for time. It doesn't matter. Natter sees the bigger picture and says that a pair of defensive line recruits loved their time in Lincoln this weekend.
"I talked a lot to the other recruits. I made a push with Randy Gregory who is a junior college defensive end. I also spent a lot of time with Peyton Newell who is a 2014 defensive lineman. I know that Randy and his dad really enjoyed their visit this weekend."
