Ross enjoys time at the Rose Bowl

Long Beach Jordan (Calif.) wide out John Ross was one of the many unofficial visitors at the UCLA-USC game over the weekend and gave his thoughts on where the Bruins currently sit on his list.

John Ross is one of the top receivers in the west region. Washington and Oregon have been leading the way for Ross for the past few months but he said UCLA had made up some ground in recent weeks and their big win over USC on Saturday added to that.

"I had a great time at the game, I really enjoyed it," Ross said. "I wasn't surprised at all that UCLA pulled it out, I expected them to win as long as Brett Hundley had a good game and he did just that. I've been to UCLA game before but the atmosphere at this game was by far the best I've ever seen and it was a lot of fun.

"That surprised me a little because in the past, UCLA games didn't have that same passion but the crowd was crazy for this one. It was back and forth for a while and there were times when the USC crowd got going and I thought I thought I was at the Coliseum but UCLA looked great and it was the best I have ever seen them play. USC has been the biggest show in town for a while but UCLA definitely made a dent in that Saturday."

As for a leader board, Ross said he no longer has anyone on top.

"I don't have anyone leading, they're all in the mix evenly right now," Ross said. "Until I finish out my official visits, I can't really name a leader. I had a great visit to Oregon and I'll be going to Oregon State this weekend for the Civil War game.

"I also have Washington set up for the following weekend (Nov. 30) and I'm not sure where I'll take my last two visits. I've been to UCLA a ton of times so I'm not sure if I'll take an official there or not. Wisconsin and Nebraska are a few other schools I'm looking at so I'll just see where I'm at after my visit to UW and go from there."
