Top Spartans: Minnesota

Spartan Digest takes this time to recognize a couple of members of the Michigan State football program by handing out our Top Spartan honors for those Spartans we feel played a huge role in the Spartans success on the field.

Each week during the season we'll give out Top Spartans honors to the following.

Top Spartan: The one player who played the biggest role in the success of the team in that week's game.

Top Spartan Offense: Player other than the Top Spartan who helped the offense to have success on the field.

Top Spartan Defense: Player other than the Top Spartan who helped the defense to have success on the field.

Top Spartan Offense

Bennie Fowler – Wide Receiver

It's been a rough year to be a wide receiver for the Spartans but Folwer enjoyed a seven catch 101 yard performance capped off with his tip drill touchdown.

Top Spartan Defense

Johnny Adams – Defensive Back

With two interceptions Adams played a big role in keeping Minnesota out of the end zone and only passing for a total of 92 yards on the day.
