Iowa Western - Recruiting Update

This weekend, Iowa Western will face Butler to decide the NJCAA National Champion, so today we thought it would be a good thing to take a look at some of the top prospects on the Reivers' roster and to update things on the recruiting front...

QB Jake Waters - Waters had a huge season this year and has offers from Akron, Houston, Kansas State, North Carolina State and Penn State. He visited N.C. State last weekend and has also visited Penn State and he will visit Kansas State on December 7th.

Stats: 212 of 293 (72.4%) for 3,194 yards, 39 touchdowns and three interceptions

WR Deon Long - Remains committed to Maryland over offers from multiple BCS programs.

Stats: 86 receptions for 1,489 yards and 25 touchdowns

WR Martize Barr - Remains committed to Illinois, but has plenty of other BCS programs that have either offered or are showing interest.

Stats: 25 receptions for 426 yards and five touchdowns

RB Aaron Wimberly - Committed to Iowa State last weekend after taking an official visit there, but still has plans to visit Boise State. Wimberly has also visited Penn State and has multiple BCS offers.

Stats: 143 carries for 1,092 yards and 13 touchdowns

RB Don Jackson - Even in a backup role, Jackson has still managed to haul in offers from the likes of Appalachian State, Iowa State, Nevada, Western Michigan and Florida International. He will visit Nevada on December 7th and follow that up with a trip to Florida International on December 10th.

Stats: 63 carries for 565 yards and 4 touchdowns

OL Dallas Hinkhouse - Hinkhouse has offers from Akron, Appalachian State, Ball State, Florida International, Illinois, Memphis, San Jose State, South Florida, Troy, Western Kentucky, Southern Illinois, UT-San Antonio, Old Dominion and Nevada. He will visit USF on December 8th, Nevada on December 10th and Illinois on December 14th.

OL Mike Smithburg - Smithberg has offers from the likes of Akron, Florida Atlantic, Florida International, Illinois, Kansas, Memphis, Western Kentucky, UT-San Antonio, Northern Iowa, Old Dominion, South Florida and Western Michigan. Smithburg will take trips to Kansas on December 8th and Illinois on December 15th.

OL Austin Stephens - The freshman has offers from Florida International and Old Dominion right now.

DE Devon Nash - Nash has been one of the most highly recruited players on the Reivers' roster with offers from Akron, Arizona State, Kansas, Kansas State, Memphis, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma State, San Jose State, Texas Tech, Troy, West Virginia, Western Kentucky and Western Michigan. He has visited Arizona State already and will take trips to Kansas State on December 8th and Oklahoma State on December 15th before making his decision.

Stats: 32 tackles, 4.5 sacks, 9 tackles-for-loss and 1 interception

DL Jordan Heiderman - Heiderman has committed to Indiana.

Stats: 39 tackles, 4.5 sacks and 8 tackles-for-loss

DL Rodney Coe - Coe recently committed to Iowa State after taking a visit there last weekend.

Stats: 35 tackles, 1.5 sacks, 8 tackles-for-loss and 2 forced fumbles

DL Ashton Henderson - The freshman has offers from Old Dominion and Wyoming right now.

Stats: 25 tackles, 2.5 sacks, 5.5 tackles-for-loss and 1 fumble recovery

LB Malkaam Muhammad - The redshirt freshman has already committed to Wyoming.

Stats: Redshirting

LB Travis Green - Green recently committed to Kansas State over an offer from Wyoming.

Stats: 62 tackles, 7 tackles-for-loss, 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery and 5 interceptions

LB Steve Funderburk - Funderburk has offers from Alcorn State, Bethune-Cookman, Florida International and Indiana.

Stats: 43 tackles, 0.5 sacks, 6 tackles-for-loss, 1 fumble recovery and 2 interceptions

LB Terrell Porter - Porter currently has an offer from Tennessee State.

Stats: 92 tackles, 0.5 sacks, 7.5 tackles-for-loss, 1 forced fumble and 1 interception

S Isaiah Johnson - Johnson had a great regular season for the Reivers and has reeled in offers from the likes of Alcorn State, Wyoming, Kansas, Northern Iowa, New Mexico and Kansas and is getting interest from several more schools.

Stats: 36 tackles, 2.5 tackles-for-loss, 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery and 7 interceptions
