With a chance to go to the Rose Bowl, the Huskers were embarrassed on Saturday night against Wisconsin, 70-31.
After winning six straight to end the regular season, Nebraska will look to get back on track and so something the program hasn't done since 2001 – win 11 games.
"Take care of the bowl game and win that, and then you've got 11 wins. We came short of our goal and that's frustrating. But the season's not over yet," said senior safety P.J. Smith on Saturday night. "We have one more game to leave our mark some type of way. So it's about getting that 11th win. It's going to hurt us, but we're all men. Just got to fight through it and move on to the next game."
This is just the second time that the two storied programs have faced off. Nebraska beat Georgia in the 1969 Sun Bowl, 45-6.
Nebraska head coach Bo Pelini is 3-2 in bowl games, but is on a two-game losing streak, after getting beat 30-13 in last year's Capital One Bowl against South Carolina.
