Corey Smith Has Final-Five

East Mississippi State Community College wide receiver Corey Smith is one of the top JUCO prospects available this recruiting season. Smith has put together an amazing offer list, and has reduced his list to a final five.

JUCO All-American Corey Smith has seen his recruiting stock rise dramatically following an impressive season at East Mississippi Community College.

Smith, 6-foot, 190-pounds, has picked up double-digit offers, and is in the process of setting up official visits. He has narrowed his list to five schools.

"I am going to Mississippi State this weekend," Smith stated. "Then, I have West Virginia on January 17, and Ohio State on January 11. The other two visits will be to Tennessee and Auburn, and those will be set next week, now that both schools have new head coaches."

"Those are my final five schools," he added. "The official visits are going to make the difference for me, and I will use them to help me learn about each of these schools. Because it's going to take most of January to get the visits done, I won't be announcing until close to Signing Day. I have no idea if I will be doing something at my school or not, and I don't have anything planned."

Smith will fulfill his academic requirements in May, and will enroll at the his college choice in June. He will have three years available to complete his two seasons of eligibility, but no school has discussed the possibility of a redshirt year.
