Bowl Preview: TCU Running Backs

What will the Michigan State defense see when they line up against TCU in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl? In our next look at the Horned Frogs we focus on the running back position.

After losing Waymon James head coach Gary Patterson looked to Matthew Tucker (6-foot-1, 227-pounds) to carry the load. However, Tucker suffered from getting banged up in his seven starts and freshman B.J. Catalon (5-9, 185) showed great promise with his 562 rushing yards. However, Catalon showed a weakness of fumbling early and could give the Spartans defense the opportunity of getting a turnover in this area.

Aundre Dean is the third back that could be used against the Green & White and the senior who transferred from UCLA after the 2008 season saw a limited number of carries (63) on the season for 278 yards.

The final regular game depth chart for TCU showed Tucker as the starter followed by Catalon and then Dean.
