Bowl Preview: TCU Defensive Line

What will Michigan State's offense see when they line up against TCU in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl? We jump over from looking at the Horned Frogs offense to how their defense will look to battle a struggling Spartans offense.

When Andrew Maxwell looks across the line of scrimmage he'll find a TCU defensive front that has performed solid throughout the year.

With an expected starting front four of Stansley Maponga (LE), Chucky Hunter (DT), Davion Pierson (DT) and Devonte Fields (RE), the Spartans offensive line will be tested.

Fields leads the Horned Frogs defensive front with 59 total tackles (17.5 for loss) and 9 sacks and earned Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year honors in the process. If the Spartans can't contain Fields off the edge Maxwell could be in for a long day.

Hunter and Pierson form a solid duo inside combining for 59 total tackles (5.2 sacks) and will be a great test for Jack Allen, Blake Treadwell and Chris McDonald.

While Maponga may not have the big stats of his counterpart Fields, he's shown the ability to cause problems behind the line of scrimmage and earned First-Team All-Big 12 honors this season.
