Report: Newby will miss All-American game

According to a report in the Washington Post, Nebraska commitment Marcus Newby will miss the Semper-Fi All-American game.

According to the Washington Post, Nebraska commitment and Quince Orchard linebacker Marcus Newby has had a "minor" ankle fraction, that will require him to miss the Semper-Fi All-American bowl in early January.

Newby finished the year with 132 tackles, helping Quince Orchard go 12-2 on the season.

Rated the No. 28 outside linebacker in the country, Newby chose Nebraska over Oklahoma, Virgina Tech, Penn State, Rutgers, among others.

Newby has yet to officially visit Lincoln, but was in town for Big Red Weekend in June.

"The people there are great," said Newby. "It's a great atmosphere. When I get back out there I will be excited about getting to meet more of the people, talk to them and being around the coaches."
