"It was a great feeling to be selected to play in this game. It just means that all of my hard work has paid off," he said of the honor.
The 5-foot-9, 185-pound cornerback is the lone prospect from California playing for the American Team and he is soaking up the experience.
"Everyone here is a great athlete, a great guy. Everybody out here has a different personality and it's great getting to learn some new things, teach some new things, and getting taught by these coaches is awesome," he said.
"I know where I'm going, I'm just waiting to announce it publicly. I came up with my decision about a week ago," he said.
He will make that decision public this Sunday during the All-American Game.
"It's a dream come true. When you are little, that's something you think about, that you want to be the guy who can do the hat thing at an All-American Game. Now that has come true. It's a great feeling," he said.
