ORLANDO, Fla. - Here are some quick hits on some of the top prospects in the Under Armour All-America game.
Reuben Foster entered Orlando on Sunday and he said he was not going to do any recruiting interviews and he has stood strong so far. There have been a lot of questions asked about where he will end up and who he is seriously considering at this time and Scout thinks Alabama, Auburn, and Georgia are the main three at this time. Washington will get an official visit and LSU and Miami are schools he has mentioned recently. There has been a little chatter about Florida trying to enter the race too.
Vonn Bell is a five-star safety and he is likely going to commit before Signing Day. He has official visits to Alabama, Ohio State, and Tennessee set for January. UT was consider the leader for some time, but most feel they are in third place now. It looks to be a very tight race between Alabama and Ohio State at this time. Some feel the Buckeyes lead while others see the Crimson Tide in that spot.
Scout has been saying for a while that you need to keep an eye on Dee Liner. He remains committed to Auburn at this time, but Alabama has continued to pursue him. He has continued to stay away from interviews and he is not saying much to anyone, but Alabama is a real threat to Auburn here. This is one to really keep a close watch on.
There has been some chatter around the Disney Wide World of Sports about Carl Lawson and Montravius Adams playing together on the next level. Adams has talked about it, so take that for what you will. If that is the case, Clemson would likely be that school, but Auburn as an option as well.
Former Florida commit Quinton Powell has an official visit set up to USC for the weekend January 19 and Scout feels they are now the school to beat. He may also visit South Carolina and Miami and Oregon are schools that he could take a look out. We do not see Florida as an option at this time.
Tarean Folston is committing at the Under Armour All-American game Friday and Notre Dame seems to be the school most in Orlando think he will choose this weekend. Folston has been working at cornerback this week and he is an elite athlete. He could play on either side of the ball on the next level.
