For the Black Team, it was LSU defensive tackle commitment Greg Gilmore that impressed the most. Despite having great size (6-3, 280) he could play inside or out due to his athleticism. We are pretty confident he will end up inside where he can do it all including getting after the QB. Gilmore has displayed a solid work ethic this week and is a very coachable player.
UA Game: Day 2 Top Performers
On the White Team, Auburn defensive end commitment Carl Lawson was the clear standout from the day. It is hard to believe that Lawson was more explosive on day two than the first day, but he was. Lawson has the most upside of any pure pass rusher at this event and should develop into a double digit sack type at the next level. Lawson has violent hands that he uses to dis-engage when offensive linemen are able to handle his elite first step. Lawson makes the top 5 for a second day in a row.
