Quick Hitter: Burkhead does his thing

The Nebraska senior running back runs effectively against Georgia.

ORLANDO, FL - Nebraska senior running back Rex Burkhead's final college game in the 2013 Capital One Bowl was similar to how most of his others went.

Wearing no brace for the first time this season since his knee injury, Burkhead ran for 140 yards on 24 carries, also catching four balls for 39 yards and two total touchdowns.

"Rex played the way he always does, like he did for four years - with passion," said Nebraska head coach Bo Pelini after Tuesday's contest. "He's a tremendous football player, a tremendous human being."
