Three-star Cypress Bay (Fla.) High School defensive back Boaz Joseph has been added to Kentucky's official visitor list for what's shaping up to be a huge recruiting weekend.
"I'm looking forward to it," Joseph said. "Their coaches have done a good job of staying in touch with me, and I like what they have to say. They've always wanted me to come back and take a closer look at the school, so that's what I'm going to do."
Joseph (6-1, 190, 4.5) made an unofficial visit to UK in the summertime. He wants a more complete picture of the atmosphere in Lexington.
"The last time I was up there, I liked everything. It was a really nice campus and all, but the students weren't there. There wasn't much going on at the time, so I'm looking forward to seeing what it's like with the players and other students on campus," Joseph said.
The Cats are currently one of four schools in the mix for Joseph. He took an official visit to Purdue in October. After UK, he'll be at Nebraska on Jan. 18 and Cincinnati on Jan. 25.
He does not claim a leader at this time.
"I'm still open," Joseph said. "I have no idea which way I'm leaning yet. I need to make these visits before I decide."
Joseph, who also entertained offers from programs like Georgia, Missouri, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Syracuse and Rutgers, was a third-team Class 7A/8A all-state selection in the Sunshine State this season.
Several other Florida prospects plan to be in Lexington this weekend, including four-star quarterback Asiantii Woulard, defensive end Alvonte Bell (a UK commitment from the previous staff), running back JoJo Kemp, defensive back Blake McClain (another commitment from the previous staff) and athlete Jaranta Lewis.
