He is happy with six scholarship offers, but he wants more.
"It feels good to be getting offers and I appreciate each one of them. The more options though, the better for me. I am looking at each offer I get, so I do want more."
Brumfield may be open to each offer, but three schools stand out early on.
"Texas A&M, Florida, and Florida State are high on my list right now.
"I really like the overall program at Florida, I like the campus and coaching staff at Florida State, and I like Texas A&M, but I want to learn more about them."
He has visited the University of Florida a couple of times and he spent some time at FSU last summer on an unofficial visit. He has not been to College Station, Texas yet.
He plans to visit them for Junior Day or for their spring game.
He wants to get out and see as many schools between now and the time he makes his decision. When could that decision come?
"I will either commit right before the season begins or right after it is over. I do not want any distractions during the season," said the No. 5 offensive guard in the country on Scout.
The junior out of LSU Laboratory School is working hard to live up to that lofty ranking. He improved between his sophomore and junior seasons and he plans to do the same this year.
"I think I had a good year as a junior, but I want to be better as a senior. I wanted to focus on getting better at pass protection and I think I did that last year. I worked on my pass sets, keeping my hips in front of the guy I am blocking, and it paid off.
"I am going to keep working hard this off-season and just try to improve as a player. I am always working, so I think I will be better next season."
