Still, Mitchell was able to speak with Wisconsin's defensive coordinator, Dave Aranda.
"I talked to the new defensive coordinator and he said he'd get back to me if they had room for a scholarship for football," said Mitchell. "Wisconsin has offered me for track, and they said right now, I would go there for track, and if I still wanted to play football in a couple of years, I could walk on. They have the new staff though, so they're going to get back to me."
Mitchell, though, still enjoyed his time at Wisconsin.
"The campus was really nice and its surrounded by two big lakes," said Mitchell. "I loved the visit. It went really good."
Mitchell has previously visited West Point and will go to Nevada in two weekends.
The biggest decision he'll have to make is if he'll focus on track in college or do both football and track.
"I'm still open for both, it just depends on where I decide to go," said Mitchell. "I want to make a decision by Signing Day, but if it takes a little longer, I'm up for it."
