Change of Plans for Adeboyejo

With three weeks to National Signing Day, Cedar Hill (Tx) receiver and recent Texas A&M decommitment Quincy Adeboyejo has made a few adjustments to his visit schedule. Details inside.

Scheduled to make an official visit to UCLA Jan. 25, Adeboyejo has cancelled and instead will trip to Ole Miss that weekend.

"I like those coaches a lot. I haven't even visited and I already just have a good feeling about it. And playing in the SEC is a big plus… Coach Freeze called me today. That was the first time a head coach called me personally. He said he really wants me to be a part of it."

Adeboyejo has also been texting with Rebel receiver Donte Moncrief, smiling, "he's been working me, telling me how much they want me."

Having visited Nebraska last weekend, Adeboyejo will still visit Texas Tech this weekend (1/18).

He has added a visit to TCU Sunday upon his return from Lubbock. He will then travel to Ole Miss Jan. 25.

He will keep the final weekend before National Signing Day open for Oklahoma, Baylor or "whoever else reaches out."

As far as what he'll be looking for on these trips, "My mom, she sat me down and told me I need to look past football," said Adeboyejo. "I need to look at, 'Can I live in this town for the next four years? Can I be successful in this university?' So I'm looking at that, of course. I'm looking for somewhere where I can make an immediate impact. I want to go somewhere where I can come in and play right away."

The 6-foot-3, 175-pounder capped his senior season in the Texas 5A-II State Championship, finishing with 1,265 yards and 17 touchdowns on 91 catches.
