Broughton set to visit Fresno State

Vista Murrieta (Calif.) defensive back Treshon Broughton has already taken an official visit to Oregon State and will check out Fresno State this weekend.

Treshon Broughton is a talented corner back who played a big role in Vista Murrieta rolling through an undefeated season before falling in the Inland Division Championship game.

Broughton is a physical corner who excels in press coverage. He's very aggressive and will gamble from time to time but is an active player with a nice upside to him. On the recruiting front, Broughton seemed like close to a lock to commit to Oregon State when he took his visit and even said that was his plan prior to taking the trip.

"I had a great time there, I really like Oregon State a lot," Broughton said. "I'm still talking with them but I'm also going to visit Fresno State this weekend. They have been talking to me for a while and I'm pretty high on them too. I've never seen any other colleges other than Oregon State so I wanted something to compare.

"These are the main schools I'm talking with and a little bit with New Mexico State. I don't have a time frame for when I'll make my decision. Just whenever it feels right, that's when I'll do it but I'm not ready right now."

Broughton is continuing to work hard on his academics as well and is hopeful he'll be a full qualifier. Grade concerns are what scared away some colleges early on but he has made up several classes and is confident he'll be good to go on the academic front.
