Phillips making the rounds

If eyes weren't opening up already over Harrison Phillips and his performance in San Antonio for the U.S. Army All-American combine. Harrison is now set to take a couple of junior day trips and his first offer could be just weeks away.

Harrison Phillips had his coming out party for the nation in San Antonio a few weeks ago. Phillips measured in at 6-foot-3.5 and 248-pounds which came to his surprise then did 30 reps on the bench press at 185-pounds which was good for second overall in the combine.

With that performance behind him Phillips, from Omaha (Nebr.) Millard West, is looking to start reaping the rewards. Phillips has been told be a few schools that if he visits for junior day that he should pick up an offer. He will be visiting one of those schools this weekend.

"I am going to Iowa for their junior day this weekend," Phillips said. "Tom Lemming is also doing some future All-American article and I will be in it."

Nebraska's junior day will be a little different this year. The Nebraska staff will be working it by invite only. Arguably Phillips is one of the top two players in the state of Nebraska in 2014 and he received his invitation for their junior day. Phillips is also looking at other junior days a little later on.

"I am going to Nebraska's elite junior day next Saturday and later this winter or spring I am going to go to junior days at Iowa State, Arizona State and Utah State."

With recruiting really starting to pick up for Phillips he is also involved with wresting for Millard Well. Phillips is also having a great season on the mat with a perfect record so far this year. "Wrestling is going well. I am 17-0 right now."
