Singleton, a 5-foot-11, 170 pound defensive back from Archer High (Lawrenceville, Ga.) choe Duke over offers from Penn State, Appalachian State, and others.
Prior to the visit to Durham this weekend, Singleton told Scout.com that he had developed a strong relationship with the Duke coaches.
"Duke has shown more interest as of late, and they are a great school that can provide a great education," Singleton said. "Coach Cutcliffe is a great coach, and I feel it's very worth taking a visit there."
On the field, Singleton rarely waits for anything, and his stat line proves it. His 47 tackles, 14 pass break-ups, two interceptions and two fumble recoveries during his senior season attest to that.
"In my county, I'm known as a ball hawk. I go get the ball and make plays, and feel really good tracking the ball down and making something happen," he said Singleton also feels he could play either cornerback or safety at the next level.
We will have more from Singleton later. He becomes Duke's 19th commitment from the class of 2013
