Veii sets up official to Nebraska

The 2013 class for Nebraska is one that they are going to be pulling together all the way up to the last official visit weekend. Last weekend Nebraska had an elite junior day and this weekend will at least have one official visitor in Lincoln.

Jacquille Veii from Bethesda (Md.) The Avalon School is a busy man right now. There are a number of teams that were trying to get that last official visit weekend from the 5-foot-11 and 180-pound Veii, but he set that last visit yesterday.

"Things are pretty crazy right now," Veii said with a little laugh. "The phone is ringing a lot, but I am going ot Nebraska this weekend for an official visit.

"Coach John Papuchis was here to see me on Wednesday and I set it up with him. I just want to go there to see if I like it and if I can see myself there."

If Nebraska were to land Veii that would be the second player from the state of Maryland in the 2013 class. Veii says that he knows Newby pretty well, about the last four years, and says that Newby has been talking to him a lot about Nebraska.

"I know Marcus Newby real well. He literally goes to the school down the street from me at Quince Orchard. He goes to public school and I go to a private school.

"I know that Coach J.P. is from here too and went to Quince Orchard. I have known Marcus since about our freshman years. He's been recruiting me pretty hard for Nebraska for a while."
