The 6-foot, 183 pound prospect has had schools all across the Midwest showing interest, including: Nebraska, Tulsa, Iowa (attended junior day), Indiana, Northwestern, Michigan State, and South Dakota State.
In late January, Urzendowski attended Nebraska junior day with fellow teammate and quarterback Easton Stick. The wide out left very impressed.
"I had a great time. We got to see all the facilities and all the coaches were there and nice. They showed us a lot and everyone talked with us, including the strength and conditioning coaches," said Urzendowski. "We had position meetings with the position coaches and I got a chance to meet Coach Pelini.
"They really liked my film. They think that I'm probably the best receiver in the state. I was unable to go to their camp last year and they said that they really want to see me there this year. They have never seen me in person, just my highlights."
Urzendowski, who runs a self-reported 4.5 forty, says his overall route running and speed are the biggest areas of his game he's working on this offseason. He's currently weight lifting four times a week and also works out at "Going Vertical" in Omaha on his agility.
"To get a Nebraska offer is a good goal. I know how it works in the state," said Urzendowski. "I would like to get as many offers as I can to hopefully let them know that I'm an offer type of guy. It would be a pretty big deal for me. It would be a huge goal accomplished."
Urzendowski says his personal relationship with the coaching staff and how he fits into an offense will be the biggest factors for him when it comes time to make a decision.
The junior found the end zone a total of 15 times in 2012, with 13 of those coming on the receiving end and two while on special teams.
