McGraw's new offers

John Curtis Christian 2014 defensive back Mattrell McGraw has pocketed a slew of offers over the past week, and he talks about that inside...

Mattrell McGraw pulled in an offer from Nebraska this morning and the versatile junior collected two more this afternoon.

"Arizona State and UCF offered," McGraw said. "Coach (Michael) Norvell talked about how they signed Ronald Lewis (West Jefferson) and Corey Smith (O. Perry Walker) from New Orleans. He's excited about recruiting me.

"I could play five different positions at Arizona State. Coach Norvell said their staff has sent a lot of DBs to the NFL. He also said the whole staff loves me, and they want me to call Monday to talk with the head coach and defensive coordinator."

Norvell's serious about getting this New Orleans-area DB on board.

"He asked if Arizona State has a chance at getting me to leave the state," McGraw said, "and I said 'sure.'"

Arizona, Arizona State, Hawaii, Baylor, Houston, Nebraska and UCF have all offered McGraw, who could play safety or corner on the next level.

He is very active at safety and got in on a lot of tackles last year for the national champion Patriots.

As a junior, McGraw amassed 49 stops and intercepted three passes.

Arizona State extended an offer to John Curtis 2015 safety Hunter Dale last summer.

McGraw returned a pick 55 yards to paydirt last fall versus Cohen.
