Big day for Foster!

Big Red Report's No. 1 player in the state had a huge day today. D.J. Foster, a standout offensive lineman from Lincoln (Nebr.) Southeast, doubled his offer total with just three phone calls.

D.J. Foster from Lincoln (Nebr.) Southeast had a good President's Day to say the least. The 6-foot-3 and 314-pound offensive lineman had not been able to return a few phone calls his coaches received last week. Today he got a chance and got a lot of good news as a result.

"I started making some phone calls to schools about 2:30 this afternoon," Foster said. "My coach told me that they wanted me to call them last week and today was the first chance I really had to return their calls.

"I called Georgia, Wake Forest and Missouri. All three of the schools offered me verbally over the phone. This doubles my offer total. I had offers from Nebraska, Iowa and Ohio already before today."

Foster got a bit of a glimpse of how crazy the process can be picking up three offers in a matter of minutes. D.J. isn't focused necessarily on how quickly he picked up the offers though. He just hopes that these offers, and the others still to come, help him make the best possible decision.

"I was definitely surprised," Foster said. "It was crazy to have all three go back to back to back extending me an offer. Hopefully these new offers puts me in a good position to make a good decision.

"I would like to have a decision made by the end of the summer and before my senior season, but we'll see how that goes. I plan on making some trips this summer while I am on vacation."
