Cole Recaps Recent Visits

Saginaw Heritage sophomore wide receiver Bryantcole talks about his recent visits to Michigan and Michigan State, both schools he has offers from.

Michigan hosted one of the top sophomores in their home state today when heritage high school wide receiver Brian Cole visited Ann Arbor for the first time, and the Wolverines made sure he knew he had an offer from them.

"We didn't get to tour or anything because we were kind of late but we got front row seats (to the basketball game) and then Coach Hoke and Coach Heck took me in the room and told me that a scholarship for me. They offered me. It was nice."

This is the 6'2, 190-LB Cole's second offer, with the first coming from Michigan State. This was his first trip to Ann Arbor and he says it was a good experience.

"Yeah it was crazy, it was my first time actually being in their basketball arena. It was wild. Oh I like them a lot. They treated me very well. They are funny, Coach Heck is a funny guy. He was always messing with me and Coach Jackson is messing with me. They're real nice to me."

Capable of projecting to multiple spots, the Wolverines see him on offense.

"Yeah, mostly wide receiver. Coach Heck was telling me to come to spring practice and watch what I do and break down film. They didn't really hammer it down but I think they want me at receiver."

Next up for Cole is a visit to Ohio State on March 23rd. A few weeks back he was in East Lansing where he saw a raucous environment at the Breslin Center.

"It was crazy there. It was wild cause it was Michigan versus Michigan State but I got a tour of everything and I got to meet all the coaches. It was good. They treated me well."

And at this early point in time, no one is ahead of anyone else.

"I'm not favoring anyone right now. I'm just keeping everything open and see who comes in."
