Nebraska is No. 9 for McGary

Offensive tackle Kaleb McGary says he has always appreciated Nebraska from afar.

Fife high school (WA) offensive lineman Kaleb McGary added his ninth offer on Thursday, when Nebraska extended a scholarship his way.

"I know a little bit about them, but not much at this point," said McGary, who plans to do some research. "I've just always admired them and the farm boy life style out there. I've always wanted to see Nebraska."

A 6-foot-6, 272-pound product, the offensive tackle already has offers from Washington, Washington State, Eastern Washington, Oregon, Oregon State, Cal, Arizona State and Utah.

"My whole dream as a little kid was to get to college on scholarship and be the first male in my family to get a college education," McGary told "I'm doing just fine knowing that, provided I don't screw up or do something really stupid, I will get to go somewhere for college and I will have a college education. That's been my whole goal for forever, even if I don't make it to the NFL, which is where I'd like to end up. Nothing is guaranteed."
