Elmore Lands Badger Offer

One of the "Super Six" of in-state recruits, Somerset (Wisc.) tight end Gaelin Elmore picked up a Wisconsin offer today and talks about it here.

Gaelin Elmore had a feeling a Wisconsin offer was coming today and the 6'5, 235-lb tight end did not have to wait long to receive it.

"They offered right away," he said. "It feels great. Finally having that offer clears up a lot of worries and things. The Badgers have a great program."

This is Elmore's third BCS offer, with Minnesota and Nebraska as the others. Having already visited Minnesota, today was the first chance for him to spend extended time with the Badger staff.

"All the coaches were great," he said. "They made sure I knew that the way they used tight ends wasn't going to change, but they were going to use them more. They talked to me about my film and just wanted to know more about me."

With several committed players there today, Elmore admits he thought about joining the class.

"I thought about it a lot. Going into it, I didn't think I would even think about it, but it was different being there. They're a great school and present great opportunities for me and my future. I still plan on taking my time with the decision and know 110% where I want to go before I commit."
