It's just March and some players are already overwhelmed. Elmore says that he sees how some can get caught up in the process somewhat.
"The process is a bit flattering," Elmore said. "I can definitely see how it could get to some people and cause them to act differently. It's a new experience. There are a lot of people that say they have your best interests in mind and they just met you. It's something to get used to."
Elmore is being looked at to play tight end at the next level and the position has many types like flex, H-Back, etc. Elmore says that he's equally comfortable lining up next to a tackle and having to block as he is going out for a pass.
"Everyone likes me as a tight end and I think it's because I know how to use my size when it comes to blocking at the point of attack. I have the ability and the size to get out and stuff big defensive ends.
"The past four years the top player coming out of high school has been a defensive end. I think that I have the ability to block those guys. I also feel that I have good enough ball skills to make plays down field as well."
There have been a few trips for Elmore already this spring. He says that this weekend he was trying to get to Madison to see a spring practice. He's eying another trip a little further down the road for a spring game in April that will take him to Lincoln.
"I have been to a junior day to Minnesota and two other unofficial visits there. I just took an unofficial visit this past Sunday and I will be going to one of their spring practices soon. I will also get to Minnesota for some practices.
"I am really going to try and get to Nebraska for their spring game on April 6th. I haven't figured out which camps I am going to do, but I know that I am going to get out there and do a few. It just depends on my AAU schedule."
Nebraska saw quickly on Elmore's film a player that they liked and turned around with an offer more sharply than some other teams. Elmore likes that Nebraska recognizes his ability and also says that he likes the position coach at Nebraska.
"It was kind of a quicker process than the rest of them. They got in contact with me after getting them my film. They called my coach about a week later and told him that it would be in my best interest to call them back that night.
"I called them and that's when they offered. That showed that they had faith in my potential and my ability. I like the tight end coach at Nebraska, Barney Cotton, so that's a plus for me."
