Could Eugene pick up an offer?

There are a number of recruits that will be in Lincoln this weekend for the Nebraska spring game. There won't be many recruits that will make a longer trip than this recruit. Could he pick up an offer from Nebraska?

Last year Nebraska dipped into the state of Louisiana and picked up the signature of Metairie (La.) Archbishop Rummel tight end Cethan Carter. Nebraska has their eye on another from the same school this year. Dwayne Eugene, a stand out defensive back, will make the trip this weekend for the Nebraska spring game.

"Yes sir I am going to Nebraska this weekend," Eugene said. "Nebraska has been sending me a lot of letters about visiting for the spring game. I told my mom that I thought it would be pretty cool to go so she booked our flights."

At 6-foot-1 and 205-pounds, Eugene has excellent size to play in the defensive secondary. Eugene already has a couple of offers in hand, but he admits that taking about an offer from Nebraska is something that he wants to discuss this weekend.

"That is something that I definitely plan on discussing with them this weekend. Coach Terry Joseph has been the coach that is recruiting me from Nebraska. I think that he's a very good coach, he's a good guy in general and I would like to get an offer from them."

If Nebraska did offer this weekend there is a decent chance that the Huskers could reel in commitment No. 2. Eugene says that playing college football with his friend is something that he would really like to do.

"I hope Nebraska offers so I can join the Big Red. It would be a very big offer. I told Cethan that if they offer me I would most likely go there. I have known Cethan since I was four years old, he's my best friend, and it would be cool to go to the same school together."
