"I got there to Lincoln in the morning around 11:00," Gray said. "Before the game we went through the weight room, the players' lounge, saw the academic center and where all of the trophies are at."
Gray got an early glimpse of the Nebraska fan base on Saturday as he walked up to the stadium. The fans were waiting outside to get in and approached Gray and shook his hand.
"The fans at Nebraska are very loyal. They were there outside the stadium waiting to get in. As I was walking up to the stadium I was asked if I was a recruit and that I should go there. There were kids and I was shaking all of their hands."
While only a spring game the Nebraska faithful still showed up. 60,000+ to be exact. Gray said that it was a great environment and that he could really see himself as a running back in that offense.
"The atmosphere was great. It was loud and everything and it was only a spring game. I think that I would be a good fit as a running back at Nebraska. They run a lot and use the running back in the passing game."
The trip had many high points for Gray but what he says these trips are all about are the people. He liked getting a chance to speak with the Nebraska staff and the other recruits the most while in Lincoln.
"The best part of the whole trip was getting to speak with the Nebraska coaches and also getting a chance to meet some of the other recruits. These trips are all about getting a chance to meet new people."
Gray said that he is already planning on getting back for a return visit this summer. "In talking with Coach Ron Brown I think that I will be back for camp at Nebraska. I am looking at June 10th for a one day camp."
