One of three Illini commitments for the class of 2014, Dudek is a speedy slot receiver and potential return man. He also has been active in recruiting other prospects since his commitment and will have a good opportunity to continue that this weekend.
The hard hitting Watson had 142 tackles as a junior and has accumulated nine scholarship offers including Illinois. He has been to campus before, but it is big to get him to Champaign again on the heels of this week's Michigan offer. Kansas and Missouri are considered the other competition here.
Hance is a 6'6, 235-lb high school tight end being recruited by schools at several different positions. For the Illini, he says he is being looked at mostly as a defensive lineman. He has recently visited Missouri, NC State and landed an Indiana offer, so he's another in-state prospect starting to see more interest come his way.
McGrew was offered by the Illini recently, his first Big Ten offer, and this will be his first visit to Champaign. The 6'3, 227-lb junior's other offer comes from Idaho, but he is also receiving interest from Missouri and Nebraska, where he visited last weekend. As his first BCS offer, this will be an opportunity for the Illini to make an impression.
Something of a sleeper at the moment, the 6'5, 238-lb junior does not have any offers yet, but we think that should change. His high school film is mostly at tight end, but we could see him outgrowing the position and playing defensive line at the next level. He's certainly one to watch as the process moves on.
A lot of the attention, as linebackers go in Illinois, goes to the Chicago area and rightly so, but we feel Millender is under-appreciated. He's a physical 6'1, 235-lb kid currently holding a Purdue offer. He's been to Champaign several times and is a player we believe is in strong contention for an offer.
Diggs is an intriguing prospect because of his blend of long frame (6-4, 200-lbs) and athleticism (he returned kicks last season). Exactly what his best spot in college is, whether it's hybrid pass rusher, full time end, stand-up outside linebacker or something else, is still to be determined. He holds a couple MAC offers and has been receiving strong, steady interest from the Illini.
Carter had a good year as a junior. He's been on the radar for a couple schools, but does not have any offers yet. He has good size at 5'11, 200-lbs and displays good feet on film. He has visited Champaign before and may be looked at as a safety as well.
