Kicking around visit to Nebraska

The Nebraska staff was in early last week to see this Dallas area wide receiver. Williams called the Nebraska coaches when they had a chance to talk about fitting in the Nebraska offense, the depth chart and taking a visit to see Nebraska.

T.V. Williams from McKinney (Texas) saw Nebraska come through his high school early last week. After he saw the coach from Nebraska he spoke with the coach over the phone about taking a visit to Lincoln and how he fit in the offense.

"Coach Tim Beck stopped by last week," Williams said. "I want to say that he was here Monday or Tuesday. I spoke with him over the phone after the school visit.

"We spoke about what it's like in Nebraska and about me taking a visit to see Nebraska. We also talked about they would play me in the offense and how their depth chart looked."

Williams, listed at 5-foot-10 and 150-pounds, says that after plans fell through to travel to Nebraska for their spring game that there are plans to get up to Nebraska still this summer. Nothing is set yet, but he definitely wants to see what Nebraska has to offer.

"My dad and I have been talking about it. I really want to check out Nebraska. Everyone has been telling me about the facilities. I really want to get up there to check it out for myself."

Williams has a good source for Nebraska information at his high school. One of his high school coaches worked for the University of Nebraska in the past. There wasn't a chance for his high school coach to meet with the Nebraska coach this time around, but the Husker coaches will be back.

"I didn't get a chance to get Coach Tim McFadden in there to talk with Coach Beck. I am not sure if they know each other at all. Coach McFadden was absent that day Coach Beck was there.

"I don't know when Nebraska will be back to see me, but Coach Beck said that they would be back. We start spring practices next Monday and he said that they wanted to be there to see that with Coach Rich Fisher."
