New Jersey NFTC: Defensive Preview

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- There will be plenty of talent at the New York Jets' practice facility Sunday for the Nike Football Training Camp and FOX Sports NEXT takes a look some of the top defensive prospects expected.

Plenty of eyes will be on Scout 300 St. Joseph's-Montvale (N.J.) defensive back Kiy Hester on Sunday as leads the defensive back contingent at the Nike Football Training Camp at the New York Jets' practice facility.

Washington (D.C.) Friendship Collegiate four-star cornerback D'Andrew Payne, a Tennessee commit, and Baltimore (Md.) The Gilman School four-star cornerback Troy Vincent are also slated to attend. The event will give Newburgh (N.Y.) Free Academy defensive back Jalen Williams a chance to compete against higher competition.

West Genesee (N.Y) High's Naesean Howard, who is committed to Syracuse, will also be in attendance as will double-digit offeree Englewood (N.J.) Dwight Morrow High's Juwann Winfree and Hamilton (N.J.) Nottingham High's Saquan Hampton, who is committed to Rutgers.

There are also a pair of class of 2015 defensive backs who are already known in the region in Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter's Prep cornerback Minkah Fitzpatrick, who recently added Miami and Wisconsin offers, and Erial (N.J.) Timber Creek Regional High's Kareem Ali.

Brooklyn (N.Y.) Abraham Lincoln High's Thomas Holley, a Scout 300 member with an impressive offer list, leads the defensive linemen. Scranton (Pa.) Prep's Noah Beh, Wayne (N.J.) DePaul Catholic High's Justin Nelson, a Rutgers commit, Milleville (N.J.) High's Antoine White, DePaul's Courtel Jenkins and Somerville (N.J.) Immaculata High's Joe Vitiello will be in attendance.

One of the younger prospects is class of 2016 Scotch Plains (N.J.) Fanwood High defensive lineman Rashan Gary, who holds a Rutgers offer.

At linebacker, Wyndmoor (Pa.) La Salle College High's Zaire Franklin, who holds a handful of BCS offers, and Needham (Mass.) St. Sebastians School's Connor Strachan are set to attend.
