"Nebraska actually offered me on Tuesday," Dalton said. "Coach Rich Kaczenski was here from Nebraska and he said that he was going to get the offensive line coach to come up and see me.
"While the coach from Nebraska was here he got a chance to see me practice, but I wasn't able to really talk to him because of the rules. I really don't know a lot about Nebraska except their history."
Nebraska joins a long list of offers now for Dalton. There are no plans for future visits for Dalton, but he did say that Nebraska invited Dalton to Big Red Weekend in June. Dalton just got back from a return visit to a Big XII school this past weekend.
"I think that the Nebraska offer makes it right around 20 offers total. I don't have any visits planned right now for the spring or the summer at the moment.
Dalton has made some long trips and some short trips this spring. In a previous interview with Fox Sport Next recruiting analyst, Dave Berk, Dalton talked about the possibility of going far away to go to school.
"That's a tough question," said Dalton. "It's one of the things I'll have to consider as all my family lives back here in Troy and I'm kind of a family person to where I want them to be able to support me.
"So a place like Stanford is obviously like a five hour plane ride out there. So from that aspect you have to think for a moment and ask if you're doing this for yourself and what you want to do.
"Then again, what do I want as a player? Do I want to be close to home where I can drive home in a few hours or do I want to be buying plane tickets for five hour flights back home?
"So right now I'm not sure how far away from home I would want to go. But obviously, it will depend upon the team and the school."
