The state of Illinois is home to plenty of Scout 100 prospects.
The Huskers have offers out to all four of those prospects.
Plus, four-star defensive lineman Dewayne Hendrix of O'Fallon High.
Nebraska is making a push in the state, and this week of the contact period is no exception.
This week, there are two prospects in the state to keep an eye on for Husker fans.
One of them, Chris Slayton added an offer from Nebraska Wednesday. Slayton is a 6-foot-5, 260 pound defensive end with a big upside and a great personality.
Nebraska stopped by to see Crete-Monee Wednesday, which also means that offensive line coach John Garrison saw four-star linebacker Nyles Morgan.
Another prospect to keep an eye on, is Jacksonville High tight end Blake Hance. The Huskers also paid Hance a visit this week, and the interest is mutual from Hance.
Although, no offer is on the table yet -- Hance is a big prospect, 6-foot-5, 280 pounds with room to grow. Although he plays tight end for Jacksonville, he has offers at both offensive and defensive line.
The Huskers are interested in him as an offensive lineman, and as he gets more experience on the line he is one to keep an eye on.
